Confidence is a dynamic character that can often spell the difference between

accomplishment and failure. For the person who is besieged with feelings of

inferiority, life can be a continual struggle for competence and acceptance. More

than anyone, the Christian should exude confidence. As Proverbs 28:1 exhorts,

“The righteous are bold as a lion.” Once born again, Christians have entered into

relationship with an all-sufficient God who is more than able to handle any

difficulty, enabling them to shout, though war may rise against me, in this I will be

confident (Psalm 27:3). Here are a few reasons for our confident attitude:

1. We can be confident because we have unlimited access to God

2. We can be confident because we understand that God is in control

3. We can be confident because God is our total adequacy for any demand

placed on us

4. We can be confident because God assures us that He will complete what He

has begun in our lives and that He will never leave us or forsake us in the

5. Lastly, we can exhibit confidence in this life because, through Christ, we are

prepared for the next life.
